National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination
NDA also known as, theย National Defence Academyย andย Naval Academy Examinationย is considered to be one of the most prominent exams in the field of Defence nationwide. It is conducted and administered by theย Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted to recruit the best of candidates as officers in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and the Indian Air force.
NDA Eligibility Criteria and Educational Requirements Explained
The person who is between the age of 16.5 to 19.5 years and is unmarried can apply and attempt the NDA exam. The educational qualification required for theย Armyย is a passing certificate in the 10+2 exams. While the qualification for theย Navyย andย Air forceย is passing class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The NDA exam is conducted twice a year first in may and then in September. The exam has been categorized in two stages, a written test followed by an Intelligence and Personality Test. The NDA written test is divided into two exams, Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT) for 300 and 600 marks, respectively. The mathematics paper consists of 120 questions and GTA consists of 150 questions. The duration of the exam is 5 hours.
