The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently released a notification announcing the exam dates of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) exam for teaching as well as non-teaching posts. A total of 5,841 vacancies have been released for NVS and 9126 vacancies for KVS. The application portal will be open from November 14 to December 4 2025.

NVS & KVS Eligibility Conditions:
Various posts in KVS and NVS have different eligibility conditions. These are as follows:
1. Assistant Commissioner (Academics-NVS and in KVS)
Essential Qualifications:

Master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks

B.Ed from NCTE recognized university/institute OR Three-year integrated B.Ed -M.Ed from NCTE recognized institure/university with at least 50% marks (For KVS only)

KVS NVS Selection Process
The selection process of KVS for most of the teaching and non-teaching posts consists of three-tier selection process. These include:
a) Tier 1 exam or Objective-Based Paper that will be common for all positions except multi-tasking posts. The candidate is tested on General Reasoning, Numeric Ability, basic computer literacy, general knowledge and English language test. The duration of the test is two hours.
b) Tier 2 exam or Subject-specific paper where the candidate will tested on the knowledge about the specific area for which he/she has applied. The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours.
c) Interview/Skill Test - The final stage is the interview that is applicable for all the posts under KVS and NVS. Some clerical posts like Stenographer Grade I and II, Junior Secretariat Assistant and Junior Secretariat Assistant (HQ/RO)/Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) conduct a skill test to assess the necessary proficiency of a candidate for corresponding post.
