OPSC Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any specialization required by the OPSC

Physical Standards:
A candidate is required to be in good physical and mental health. He/she must not be previously diagnosed with any medical condition or ailment. A candidate chosen for a particular position is required to pass a medical exam conducted by a government-authorized medical board. Any candidate who fails to meet the required physical standards will be disqualified from any further evaluation.

OPSC 2025 Exam Selection Process:
The OPSC exam consists of three stages i.e. Prelims, Mains and Interview.
The prelims exam consists of two papers, namely, General Studies 1 and General Studies 2. Paper 1 tests a person’s aptitude on History, Geography, Economics, Indian Polity etc. and paper 2 tests a person’s ability in English and Odiya language skills, comprehension, Data interpretation and his/her decision-making and problem-solving abilities. The final marks obtained here are not considered for the preparation of the final merit marks. It is only qualifying in nature.
The Mains exam consists of nine papers, two of which are qualifying in nature, namely English and Odiya language paper and the rest eight consist of Essay, General Studies I, II, III, IV, Optional papers I and II. Marks obtained in these seven papers will be considered for the calculation of final merit in the Mains exam.
Finally, the interview will be held for those candidates who qualify the Mains exam. A candidate will be tested on his/her decision-making and problem-solving abilities, personality skills, knowledge about current affairs especially those related to Odisha. It is of 250 marks.
Final marks will be calculated on the basis of the scores obtained in the Mains and interview stages of the exam.

Ans. No, once submitted, the optional subject selection is final and cannot be modified.
