SSC CPO 2025: Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus & Selection Process

Conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), seeks to recruit candidates each year to paramilitary and police forces like, Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). SSC CPO allows aspirants an opportunity for a job in the police or paramilitary forces. Steps to check notification when out:

  1. Visit the official website of the commission at ssc.gov.in.

  2. On the home page, click on the link to view the SSC CPO 2025 Notification.

  3. The notification PDF will open in your screen. 

  4. Download the notification PDF. 

  5. Keep a printout of the same for future reference. 

The notification was earlier scheduled to release on June 16, 2025, but was however postponed owing to ‘administrative reasons’, as cited by the commission. 

Vacancies for SSC CPO 2025 will be announced in the official notification. The last notification there were more than 4000 vacancies. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to soon release the notification for the Sub Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) or SSC CPO 2025 recruitment examination 2025. Once out, candidates who want to appear for the exam will be able to check the notification at ssc.gov.in.

Q1. How to get Registration number and Password, if a candidate forgets it?

Ans. Go to ‘Forgot Password’ link in the Login section on https://ssc.nic.in and enter required details. On verification through email or mobile OTP, the Registered email-id and Registration Number would be displayed on the screen. You will be prompted to change password. Set your new password and keep it safely for future use.

Q2. I did not receive registration number and password on the email.

Ans. You may check the ‘Spam’ folder in your e-mail. If email is not received even in the Spam folder, it is likely that you have entered wrong email-id. You may contact Helpline of the concerned Regional Office through a call or email.

Q3. I am unable to upload my photo and signature while applying for one time Registration.

Ans. Check size and format of photograph and signature files. Scanned colour passport size photograph should be in JPEG format and file size of the photograph should be in the range of 20 KB to 50 KB. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Similarly, scanned signature file should be in JPEG format having file size ranging from 10 KB to 20 KB. Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). The image of the signature should occupy at least 75% of the frame.

Q4. What is the procedure for onetime Registration? 

Ans. For one time registration, click on ‘Register Now’ link provided in login section on SSC website https://ssc.nic.in. Meticulously follow the instructions given in the Registration webpage.

Q5. I have registered in 2017. Can I apply for examinations of the Commission in 2019? 

Ans. No. After the launch of Commission’s new website on 20-07-2018, Registration Number and Password allotted prior to that date cannot be used. The candidate would require to register afresh.

Q.6) Is the mode of application for the SSC CPO Exam both online & offline?

Ans. The mode of application for the SSC CPO Recruitment is completely online.

Q.7) What is the basic salary of SSC CPO?

Ans. The basic salary of SSC CPO is to be Rs. 35400.

Q.8) What is the application fee for the SSC CPO exam?

Ans. There’s no application fee for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women category. For other candidates, the application fee is 100 INR.

Q.9) When will I get my admit card?

Ans. The admit card is released online two weeks before the exam.

Q.10) What comprises the PET/PST?

Ans. PET/PST comprises long jump, high jump, shot put, race, etc.
