WHAT IS SSC?
The Staff Selection Commission, or SSC is a recruitment body which finds capable candidates for the Central government posts and departments. Candidates must pass the SSC exams to work in the ministries and departments of the government of India. Every year, a large number of students take the SSC exams, in hopes of scoring a secure and respectable job. The SSC exams vary in difficulty based on the position. Candidates can get all of the information on ssc.nic.in. they can even get previous year questions to supplement their preparation.

If already registered, log in to your account. Applicants can also track their application’s status.

Register on the official website - To register, click on “Login or Register” and a pop-up window will open prompting you to input your information: Personal information, Password creation, Additional Details, and Declaration.

Select the Exam:

After registering, the aspirant must select the exam they want to appear for.

Upload necessary documents:

The aspirant will need to upload scanned copies of the document and images as prompted, like the candidate's image, signatures, educational certificates, proof of residence, and other important documents

Review the Application

Before submitting the review, the application carefully reviewed to rule out the possibility of mistakes in the application form

Submit the Application:

Once sure that all the information submitted is correct, submit the Application, and you will be redirected to the payments portal. Pay the examination fee of rupees 100.

NOTE- Female candidates, ex-servicemen, or candidates belonging to SC, ST, or PwD categories do not have to pay any fee.
Once the fee is paid, you will receive a confirmation, and Admit card will be generated.
Aspirants can also use this portal (ssc.nic.in) to find official information, from notifications to SSC CGL tier 2 previous year paper downloads.
SSC CGL
This exam is conducted every year for Group B and C posts. SSC CGL notification will be released on June 9. The top post in SSC CGL is Income Tax Inspector. The SSC CGL exam paper is divided into Tier I and Tier II.
Tier I is qualifying in nature, while Tier II determines merit. For effective preparation, solving the SSC CGL last year question papers and the CGL previous year paper sets is critical. These help the aspirant know what to study, but also how much to study.

Exams like SSC CHSL and SSC GD are options for those who want to appear for SSC after 12th. The exam is conducted in 3 tiers. Tier I of the SSC CHSL exam is an objective-type test conducted online. It consists of 100 questions divided into four major sections:

CHSL TIER-2:
NOTE- Tier-2 will be conducted in two sessions - Session-1 & Session-2, on the same day.
Session I will include conducting Section-1, Section-2, and Module-1 of Section-3.
Session 2 will include conducting Module 2 of Section 3.
Tier-2 will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions, except for Module-2 of Section 3. The questions will be set in English and Hindi, except for Module 2 (i.e., English Language and Comprehension module) in Section 2.

Q1. When does the Commission upload its Annual Calendar of Examinations?
The Annual Calendar of the Examinations of the Commission for the next year is generally uploaded in the month of September/ October of the current year on the SSC website (https://ssc.nic.in).
Q2. When is the notice/ advertisement of an Examination issued?
Tentative dates of issue of Notices of different Examinations are given in the Annual Calendar of Examinations. It is therefore advised to regularly visit the website of the Commission for latest updates.
Q3. Does the Commission entertain a request for change of date of examination if it clashes with exams of other organizations?
The Commission does not entertain any request for a change of its examination dates in the event of the dates clashing with examination dates of any other organization. The Commission also does not entertain any request for change of Examination Centre and Examination Shift, etc, on account of any other reason.
Q4. Is Registration mandatory for applying to the examinations of the Commission?
Yes, One-Time Registration with the Commission is a mandatory prerequisite. On completion of One-Time Registration, candidates can apply online for any examination of the Commission.
Q5. Should the candidate register each time before applying for an examination?
No, If the candidate has registered once after 20-07-2018, she/ he has to use the same ‘Registration Number’ and ‘SSC Registration Password’ for applying to various examinations conducted by the Commission.
